Rep. Beson encourages local businesses to apply for Small Business Survival Grant Program
RELEASE|January 18, 2021
Contact: Timmy Beson

State Rep. Timmy Beson encourages all local businesses that have been disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic to apply for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s Small Business Survival Grant Program.

Business owners will need to act quickly, as applications open on Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 9:00 a.m. and must be submitted by noon on Friday, Jan. 22.

“From being subject to government restrictions to dealing with reduced foot traffic if they’re allowed to operate at all, it’s an extremely difficult climate to run a business in,” Beson said. “As a small business owner myself, I understand that without some sort of assistance, we could lose many of the local shops and markets that make our community what it is. These grants can hopefully serve as a lifeline for any that are struggling to stay afloat.”

For more information about the grant and to find out whether you qualify, please visit https://www.michiganbusiness.org/about-medc/covid19/survival/. Those with questions can reach out to Rep. Beson’s office at [email protected] or by calling (517) 373-0158.
